Donald Cameron MSP

Highlands and Islands Scottish Conservative MSP Donald Cameron has welcomed the news that the SNP Government has u-turned in the face of intense lobbying from tourism businesses and the Scottish Conservatives.

Mr Cameron said: “Unlike the SNP, I will commit to voting against these regulations if any party tries to bring them back after the election. Scottish Conservative MSPs will stand with the industry and oppose their reintroduction.

“Our tourism industry, which is so important to the Highlands and Islands, needs space to recover rather than be strangled by SNP-imposed red tape and bureaucracy."
