I had a very productive PPSL meeting on flooding and drainage with David Cameron Chartered Senior Analyst, Sandra Davies Acting Major Applications team leader, Arthur McCulloch Principal Engineer and my fellow Councillors today.
With huge swathes of my local council ward and the larger Argyll area having roads constantly flooded all of us Councillors and officers have to put our heads together to find a permanent solution to this.
Central government both at a Scottish and U.K government level also haveĀ a huge role they need to play because without large investment from the Scottish Government the flooding problems we are experiencing will only get worse.
As we all know our U.K government sends a surplus north of the boarder through the Barnett formula yet we continue to see cuts to our local budget despite the separatists ambition's to make we in Scotland the most taxed part of our United Kingdom.
I will continue to press this matter at both a local and national level as the problem of flooding that effects both my constituents and myself is not going away.
