I'm just back from visiting both Tabert Academy and some local farmers on the Kintyre side of my council ward.
I had a very productive meeting with Neil McKnight the head teacher of Tarbert Academy. I listened to the school's latest report and met with teachers, students and School Captain Gaia Silvan. It's great to see the fantastic work Tarbert Academy are doing with the resources they have.
I then met some local farmers to discuss a number of subjects including planning issues, limited farming income, shockingly late single farm payments and huge problems caused by the flooding of many the best arable fields across Argyll.
It's always great to meet and hear from my local constituents from every part of my council ward.
