I'm just back from another few days working hard for my local area. I have been out and about across Islay. I heard first hand about many local concerns such as road condition, poor mobile phone signal and slow broad band speed.
I have been given the locations of many of our Islands pot holes and area's of poor pavement condition. These have all been passed on to our roads department.
Broadband slowdown is unfortunately rearing it's head yet again with many residents complaining directly to me about this matter. I will continue to press BT Openreach to provide a much more reliable service as we go into the future.
I also was delighted to meet fellow Conservative Councillors in Glasgow when I was attending the latest West of Scotland Archaeology Service Joint Committee meeting. It was great to hear about the terrific work they and other Conservative Councillors are doing for their constituents.
