I was out again this afternoon in Newton, Ballygrant and Keills with local activists putting out our latest literature and listening to the concerns of my fellow local residents.
While Islay continues to produce hundreds of millions of pounds every year in tax revenue is shockingly ignored by the central belt obsessed Scottish government.
Lack of decent road repairs, insanely late single farm payments, a failing single police force and an underfunded and over centralised Scottish health service are all causing massive damage to our Island.
Yet where is the Scottish government's attention focused? Why another independence referendum of-course.
We need a local councilor who is from Islay and for Islay. We need a councilor who is visible, accessible, young, energetic and has the strength to stand up to those who neglect our Islands.
Vote for me on the 4th of May and send a message that we on the Islands won't be sidelined anymore.
