Amanda Hampsey knows just how much disruption the A83 has caused for local people and businesses over the years. Motorists in Argyll and Bute are all too familiar with the chaos at the Rest and Be Thankful, which was closed an astonishing 540 times between January 2020 and October 2024.
That level of disruption is simply unacceptable and local communities have had enough.
Scottish Conservative candidate for Argyll and Bute, Amanda Hampsey, is campaigning to finally get the A83 sorted. With the SNP having wasted years and millions of taxpayers’ money and still no permanent fix in place, it is clear they have failed.
Amanda said: "The SNP have spent years and squandered millions on this project with nothing to show for it. Drivers are still stuck with endless delays, diversions and disruption. It is time for real action."
"That is why I am launching a campaign to demand serious progress on the A83. We need a permanent solution that improves safety, cuts delays and ends this cycle of closure and chaos. If you are sick of talking shops and no results, join my campaign below."
Only by removing the SNP from Holyrood and electing a strong Scottish Conservative voice in Argyll and Bute can we make this happen.
